Does it work?
Yes, it does work. When vacuum is correctly applied to the penis it will draw in blood and create an engorgement to mimic a natural erection. Care must be taken to read the instruction booklet.
How long does it take?
This depends upon the nature and degree of your impotence. In a semi-erect penis this can be quickly achieved in four or five strokes of the pump (10/15 seconds). Where prolonged impotence has been the case, 10/20 strokes of the pump may be required and could take several minutes.
Can any age person use the Vacuum Device?
There appears to be no lower or upper age limit.
Can I ejaculate?
This will depend upon the tightness of the constriction band requirement to hold an erection.
What is the Vacuum Pressure Limiter?
In more expensive medically approved models such as the Pos-T-Vac range, a built-in limiter restricts the amount of vacuum that can be drawn to a safety vacuum state. Cheaper models and those often found in sex shops may not have the safety limiting valve.
Does the POS-T-VAC fit everyone?
Rarely do we find an occasion to supply a longer or wider vacuum tube, but these are available.
How often can I use a POS-T-VAC?
You should not keep the constriction ring on for more than thirty minutes, but after removal and a resting period the Pos-T-Vac can be used again. However, sensible caution should be taken to avoid soreness from overuse.
Do I need a Doctors Certificate?
Pos-T-Vac vacuum therapy device is available on prescription from your doctor or practice nurse on FP1O form under Schedule 2 categories as listed in Part 1XA of the Drug Tariff. However Pos-T-Vac is available for private purchase directly from Eurosurgical.
Can I use the POS-T-VAC if i am on blood thinning drugs, Aspirin, Warfarin, etc?
You should use a lower vacuum and start slowly. Pos-T-Vac devices are available with manometer gauges upon request. This gauge shows the vacuum pressure you are drawing. It also shows the maximum you should draw.
Can I use a Vacuum Device while using Viagra or similar erectile drug?
Pos-T-Vac or a constriction band from the device may be a useful combination in restoring firmness to erections where prolonged use of erectile dysfunction drugs are in use.
What is the success rate?
This is difficult to monitor. However, used properly and with good partner compliance mutual sexual satisfaction can be easily achieved. Confidence and determination are prerequisites.
Are Vacuum Devices expensive?
There is a price range and depending upon one’s finances the choice is wide. However, avoid the very low cost units (see vacuum limiter question).
Explain the POS-T-VAC model differences
MVP 700 model
This is manually operated. A smooth piston ring pump is used offering a very user-friendly and easy-to-use operation.
AVP 1000 model
This is a battery operated pump unit with a very effective motor, easy to use, especially if you have arthritic fingers or difficulty with hand use. All Pos-T-Vac vacuum devices are easy to use, quiet in operation and have high quality vacuum.
