Eurosurgical is proud to be the UK's first supporter of the National Institute of Aesthetic Research. Set up in responce of the Sir Bruce Keogh report into cosmetic surgery after the PIP scandel, the Healing Foundation (a registered charity) in partnership with the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has established the National Institute of Aesthetic Research (NIAR). Based at the Royal Collage of Surgeons of England, NIAR sets out to address the "data vacuum" in aesthetic surgery - as lamented by the Keogh report. In response to the very public scandel involving PIP implants one of NIAR first priorities is the establishment of the Breast Implant Safety Campaign. Breast implant manufacturers worldwide are being asked to contribute the equivilent of £1 per implant sold towards the funding research projects aiming at improving all aspects of breast implant safety. Eurosurgical are 11 years exclusive UK distributors for the Silimed range of implants - the third largest producer in the world and available in over 70 countries worldwide.
