GET YOUR PELVIC FLOOR BACK

These are some of the symptons of having a weakened Pelvic floor which can effect quality of life

Urinary Incontinece                   Genital Prolapse (pelvic organs lowered towards the vagina)

Pelvic Pain                                    Inconveniences during intimate sexual relationships

1 out of 3 women suffer from urinary incontinence problems  including 40% of women are under 50 years old.

Causes are from pregnancy and post partum menopause, high impact sports, genetic inheritance, obesity and chronic cough.

If the pelvic floor muscles are not excercised enough they may weaken progressively over years and the earliest symptoms are most likely be urine incontinence, backache and possible genital prolapse.

The pelvic floor muscles can be reinforced or toned up through certain excercises which are named after    Dr.  Kegel who developed the technique to improve the pelvic floor by following a specific group of activities and routines which, if practiced regulary results will be noticed in just 2-3 weeks.

Kegel excercises can be carried out standing, sitting, walking, driving or even lying down.   It is simply tightening or squeezing the pelvic floor muscles together as if to prevent passing water or wind.

There are a number of products on the market which can further assist and improve muscular elasticity and strength without the need of medication.

PELVIC CONE THERAPY which consists of a series of weighted cones which when inserted into the vagina and held by muscular contraction will strengthen the pelvic floor muscles including the urethral sphincter muscle.

KEGEL BALLS THERAPY which consists of 2 oval shaped balls inline to aid vaginal insertion as a treatment to alleviate and prevent urinary incontinence and strengthen the pelvic floor.
