Silimed Breast Implants

Breast Implants

Eurosurgical Ltd exclusively distributes throughout Great Britain and Ireland the Silimed range of breast implants, tissue expanders and other body implants.

Silimed is a world-leading manufacturer of silicone medical devices. The range includes round and anatomical, smooth, textured or Micro Polyurethane Surface, gel or saline, filled breast implants. CE Mark 0197.

The silicone gel and Polyurethane surface implants are all highly crosslinked, high cohesive natural gel, which allows for a soft feeling shell and gel with no underfilling. The round implants have the maximum projection in the middle of the implant whereas the anatomical shape implants have a gradual sloping upper pole with the maximum projection in the lower third of the implant.

The size ranges from 40cc to 1000cc

Re-usable breast implant sizers are available for all styles of breast implants.

Consignment stock and sale or return orders are available.

Popular ranges are:

20610 Round, textured gel low profile 40-600cc

MicroPolyurethane-foam-Surface (MPS)

One of the principle considerations of any elective operations eg breast reconstruction or augmentation is to minimize the number of complications.

The most common complication of breast implant surgery is capsular contraction. Micro Polyurethane foam Surface (MPS)implants have been developed to minimise the capsular contracture rate.

In extensive clinical studies over the past twenty years reviewing high numbers of patients, the capsular contracture rate (Baker classification lll-lV) has determined: Considering the available literature the capsular contracture rate for MPS implants for virginal tissue is 0-9% in comparison to 9-50% for other implants. In most of the large studies, the capsular contracture rate for MPS is 0-3%. The low capsular contracture is attributed to the in growth and micro encapsulation of the fibroblasts in the polyurethane foam matrix. Due to the active healing process, a linear capsular contracture and the resulting disfigurement of the implant are drastically reduced. The tissue fixation and the highly cross-linked silicone gel give a natural feeling to the breast.

The major advantage of MicroPolyurethane-foam-Surfaces implants is the low capsular contracture rate, therefore the total complications rate is drastically reduced. The high number of scientifically based arguments and clinical experiences support the efficiency of this product concept.
