Collagen elastin matrix for dermal regeneration MATRIDERM® is a native, structurally intact matrix of collagen and elastin. These extracellular matrix proteins serve as a scaffold for reconstitution of the skin and the modulation of scar tissue.

The matrix serves as a support structure for the ingrowth of cells and vessels. Its elastin component improves the stability and elasticity of the regenerating tissue. As the healing process advances, fibroblasts produce their own extracellular matrix, and MATRIDERM® is resorbed.

MATRIDERM® also remains stable and elastic in wet conditions without any chemical crosslinking agents.

MATRIDERM® is used for dermal regeneration in cases of full skin defects in order to ensure better scar quality of the regenerated skin. Its use is indicated in plastic surgery and in surgery for burn injuries combined with autologous skin grafts.
